Before you leave
Sankalpa
A yatra begins as intention, not as a booking. Name why you go — then travel light around that vow.
- State your sankalpa simply: whose wellbeing, which form of the Lord, which kshetra first.
- Keep one short daily practice on the road — even 11 mantras at dawn keeps the mala from becoming tourism.
- If elders or children travel with you, include their comfort in the vow; seva includes the party you bring.
- Offer the route itself: each stop is a bead, not a checklist to finish faster.
