The soul of this place
13th-century Hoysala trikuta temple built in granite with a Kadamba Nagara shikhara; a stone inscription in ancient Kannada records construction details.
Special details
ASI-protected but poorly maintained; access road narrowed by unauthorised construction; several villages in Karnataka share the name Arakere, so visitors should confirm the correct one. Deity: Chenna Keshava (main, west); Venugopala (south) and Lakshmi Narasimha (north) in flanking shrines
